Group lesson $60 per person (minimum 4+ surfers) see scheduled dates in the drop down box.
Private surf lesson from $95 (2 - 4 surfers)
Private surf lesson $125 ( 1 on 1)
Advanced surf lesson $125 ( 1 on 1)
Groms Club progression sessions (for advancing groms) $120 for 3 weeks ( held after school one day a week, dates confirmed in January).

Our lessons typically begin at our New Wave store where we fit you out with the best size wetsuit & surfboard, arrange your payment & safety info, then you meet the coach and travel to the best surf spot on the day. Usually town ‘Pipe’ or Roberts Rd but occasionally we travel over to the coast at Northern Makorori. If you want a lesson outside of business hours or on a public holiday we can easily arrange this for you.

We provide your wetsuit and surfboard. No experience is needed, but basic swimming ability is essential for your safety. Please outline any existing injuries and medical conditions upon signing in. Parents of children under 13 must remain for the duration of the lesson.
Our lessons don't include transport, if you need a lift to the beach please let us know and we may be able to arrange this.

Surf Lesson Booking Terms & Conditions

Our classes have limited numbers and sell out especially during our busy summer season. For this reason, we request that you cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled lesson. This will allow us to offer your spot to another student.
Surf lessons are subject to wave conditions and weather. In the case of operator cancellation you will receive a credit (option to rebook) or full refund. No shows will be charged the full price. Cancellation prior to 48 hours of your lesson will receive a full credit or refund.

Full Payment for your lesson must be received within 48 hours of your scheduled lesson date.Booking inside 48 hours, full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm your lesson.
